The Next Step College and Career Solutions was founded by Jennifer Soodek M.S., M.S.Ed. in 2011 when she was ready to take her next step and make some changes in her own life. With her three children grown and an empty nest, a successful 20-year career in the field of early childhood and education, graduate degrees in both education and counseling, she realized it was time to continue her journey and discover where to take her next step.

The Next Step is designed to help people at all stages of life realize their personal potential and discover meaningful ways to channel their interests and abilities into productive and purposeful activities that provide the emotional, intellectual, and financial support they desire.

The Next Step has offices in Ridgefield, Connecticut, but can easily be utilized by people across the country via Skype or phone.

About Jennifer Soodek

Jennifer Soodek has a Masters of Science degree in Community Counseling from Western Connecticut State University, a Masters degree in Education from Bank Street College of Education, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Sarah Lawrence College.

Jennifer is the president of Almost Home Childcare and Preschool located in Ridgefield, Connecticut, which she founded in 1991. She has gained recognition and a grant from IBM. Jennifer has consulted for Education Connection and Work Family Directions, as well as serving as an independent consultant throughout Connecticut. She has worked in a college counseling center, taught in both private and public schools, facilitated support groups and provided staff development workshops on a variety of topics.
